Vietnam embassy in Belarus

The Embassy of Vietnam in Minsk, Belarus, is a significant diplomatic mission that represents the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Belarus. 

It is located at No 15, 2nd lane Sobinov, Minsk – BELARUS 220040. 

The embassy operates from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 09:00 to 13:00 & 14:00 to 17:002. It remains closed during the weekend and on holidays.

The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Vietnam were established on January 24, 1992. The Trade Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was reorganized into the Embassy of Belarus in December 1997. The Vietnamese Embassy in Minsk was opened in 2003. The relations between the two countries have been relatively close since 1991, although not as much as Vietnam’s relations with two other East Slavic nations, Russia and Ukraine.

The current Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is Mr. Uladzimir Baravikou. He took up his duties in March 2022. On the Vietnamese side, the Ambassador to Belarus is Mr. Nguyen Van Ngu.

The area where the embassy is located, Sobinov Lane, is in the Tsentralny District of Minsk7. This district is one of the nine districts that make up the city of Minsk and is known for its historical and cultural significance. It is home to many government offices, embassies, and important landmarks, making it a vital hub of activity in the city.

The  Vietnam Embassy in Minsk plays a crucial role in maintaining and strengthening the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Belarus. It provides a range of services and consular assistance to Vietnamese and Belarusian citizens, contributing to the mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
